Upcoming toll-free and discounted public transport for young people and seniors

On Thursday May 30, 2024, the Grand Conseil accepted the principle of free public transport for young people up to and including the age of 24, subject to certain conditions. It also decided to grant a 50% discount on annual and monthly travel passes for recipients of AVS/AI benefits residing in the canton of Geneva.

The earliest implementation of these new fare arrangements is scheduled for December, when the timetable changes take place. The tpg will announce the terms and conditions of this application at a later date.

 In the meantime, unireso fares remain unchanged.
